Marcel Lapierre took over his family domaine in Villié-Morgon in 1973. After meeting Jules Chauvet in 1981, he completely shifted his approach to winemaking, focusing on sulfur-free and natural yeast fermentation. The movement he spearheaded became the starting point for what we now call 'natural wine.' After his passing in 2010, his wife Marie and son Mathieu have continued his legacy, following the same methods.

The average 70-year-old Gamay vines, rooted in Morgon's barren granite-sandy soil, are harvested by hand. Whole cluster maceration takes place for 10-21 days without sulfur dioxide, followed by fermentation with natural yeasts in stainless steel tanks. Malolactic fermentation and approximately 9 months of aging are carried out in oak barrels (3-13 years old), and the wine is bottled without filtration.

The glass reveals a bright garnet color. On the nose, tart cherry, raspberry, and blueberry lead, followed by aromas of lavender, crushed rose petals, dried orange peel, and licorice. On the palate, the fruit expands brilliantly, with supple tannins and distinct acidity providing structure, while earthy and fallen leaf notes (sauvage) anchor the wine. The finish is cool like menthol, with a subtle sweetness of licorice lingering.

For products shipped from overseas to Korea, the recipient's name, contact information, and Personal Customs Clearance Code (PCCC) are essential for customs clearance. The information you provide will be used for customs verification, and discrepancies may cause delivery delays, so please double-check before placing your order.
To ensure stable customs clearance and delivery, we currently limit purchases to one bottle per order. If you wish to purchase multiple bottles, we kindly ask you to place a separate order for each bottle, despite the inconvenience.
Due to the nature of their long storage period, old vintage wines may exhibit signs of wear such as label scuffs, discoloration, capsule aging, and changes in cork condition. These natural signs of age are considered characteristics of the product, and exchanges or refunds may not be possible based solely on these reasons. However, if there are clear issues such as damage during delivery, delivery of a product different from what was ordered, or significant leakage, please contact us within 3 days of receipt. We will then guide you through the available procedures after confirmation.
